SUMMARY:The Monarchs
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Houchens Insurance Group \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor more than six decades\, The Monarchs have been the soundtrack to countless dances\, beach parties\, festivals\, and unforgettable summer nights. Formed in Louisville in the early 1960s\, the band quickly earned a reputation for energetic performances\, tight harmonies\, and a show that kept audiences on their feet. \n\n\n\nNational attention came in 1964 when their hit single “Look Homeward Angel” climbed the charts\, launching the group onto the national touring circuit. From there\, The Monarchs shared the stage with some of the biggest names of the era while building a devoted following that has spanned generations. \n\n\n\nAlthough the lineup has evolved over the years\, one thing has remained constant: the band’s commitment to outstanding musicianship and crowd-pleasing entertainment. Today\, The Monarchs continue to deliver the timeless sounds of rock ‘n’ roll\, Motown\, soul\, surf\, and classic beach music with the same passion and energy that made them legends in Kentucky’s music scene. \n\n\n\nWhether you’re reliving your favorite memories or discovering their music for the first time\, you’ll find it impossible to stay in your seat. Bring the family\, gather your friends\, and get ready to sing along\, dance\, and celebrate during this free Lincoln Days concert featuring one of Kentucky’s most beloved bands.
